after canon!update for kattobinguless. He's now up to what would have been episode 25 or 26-ish by canon standards.

The Spiritless Key - the AU this account is based off of. An AU where Yuuma never hears the word "kattobingu," and grows to be the same as he would have been in the delusions he was put under after having his kattobing sealed by III during the duel in episode 47.

Kattobinguless Yuuma, for those who want to NPC him for the event, still very much acts like the Yuuma we saw after his "kattobing" was sealed away by III in their duel! The main difference is, however, that it's an act. By this point, he's fully bonded with Black Mist (whom, for all intents and purposes for the time being, remains hidden and silent within the Emperor's Key), and his true personality is someone cold, unfeeling, and calculating. However, in his canon, it has been deemed more prudent to hide it with his old, timid personality, and he carries this over to the DR as well. As such, Yuuma holds himself with a hunch, clutches a book to his chest like it's a life preserver, and t-talks like th-this most of the time. s-sorry.

Before his canon update, he had a strong bond with Portalverse Kaito (blindingsilence) and Saikou Yuura (cadetibet) ; both who are involved with the event! Therefore, if seen with them in the event, he'll be acting as his old self in order to keep up appearances. He'll be hanging around the former who is also acting as an NPC, and will recognize both Yuura and Leshath (leshath) if he should run into them. While Yuura will be responded to with his typical timidity, Leshath's change in appearance (and the knowledge of him being a ploy implemented in the Dangan Event) will result in Yuuma being more reserved and flighty. If seen with Portal!Kaito, he'll often be serving as a translator via Japanese Sign Language and do little else other than hide behind him. If seen without, then...he'll be deliberately leading your characters into traps to help him reunite with the person he "lost." But clearly he's not doing it on purpose, right? Look at him. He's so scared. It's natural to think that he mistook the direction that his partner went. You can forgive him for "accidentally" leading you in a circle through deadly traps, right? Sure you can.
